Acorns Bed and Breakfast, Lyndhurst, New Forest

Acorns of Lyndhurst...    Mel's jam...

Welcome to Acorns B&B - The home of Mel's homemade preserves.

If it's a relaxed, homely peacful retreat or a real artisan taste experience that you are searching for, then Acorns of Lyndhurst in the capital of the New Forest is just the place for you. For that authentic homely, idealistic experience that will enhance your visit to the New Forest we use where ever possible our own chickens eggs and seasonal home grown tomatoes for breakfast. In addition to that some of Mel's jams are home grown as well as homemade; making them fresh and organic - you only have to read our reviews to see how good they are :)

We are ideally situated at the end of a hidden unadopted gravel track that's virtually in the centre of Lyndhurst. It's tranquil yet close to all the amenities of the bustling High Street & still only a short walk in all directions to open heathland and forest trails. So wether you are here for business or pleasure you can be sure of a very warm welcome, friendly hosts and a truly enjoyable stay.

About Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst is known as the capital of the New Forest and therefore it has a good selection of shops including gift, antiques, craft & camping supplies. Also there are plenty of good places to eat or just sit, relax and enjoy a drink ranging from pubs, restaurants, tea rooms & take away.

Lyndhurst is also home to the New Forest Museum and Visitors Centre, AA Bike Hire, The New Forest Tour Bus (seasonal link to several of the larger villages & attractions) the grave of Alice Liddell (Lewis Carroll's inspiration for Alice in Wonderland), an 18 hole golf course, a Ferrari/Maserati dealership & Bolton's Bench.

Lyndhurst & Acorns B&B are an ideal base for cyclists & walkers alike as from here you can pick up many routes which are mainly gravel, well maintained and clearly sign posted or you go "off track" to explore the more rugged areas and test your orienteering skills!

You can hire a bike or if you choose to bring your own we have secure, dry storage in our bike shed. We also have an outside tap & hose so you can wash your bike down afterwards.
